Help Keep FLOWER Blooming

Fresh • Local • Organic • Within Everyone’s Reach

When government funding pauses, our neighbors feel it first.

With the federal shutdown, over 1 million Washingtonians are expected to lose SNAP benefits beginning November 1st.

State-level support programs—including funds that have helped sustain our FLOWER Program—are being frozen as well.

At Orcas Food Co-op, FLOWER ensures that everyone on Orcas Island can access fresh, healthy, local food, regardless of income.

It bridges the gap for families, seniors, and individuals when other assistance isn’t enough.

But without state support, our ability to continue offering FLOWER discounts and community meal support is at risk.

YOUR GIFT KEEPS THE TABLE SET FOR EVERYONE

Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward:

-Subsidizing grocery costs for those who lose SNAP or other benefits

-Keeping local farmers and producers supported through steady purchases

-Ensuring that healthy food stays accessible to everyone in our island community

If you’re in a position to help

please donate today.

Your generosity will help us continue to extend a hand to neighbors who suddenly find theirs tied by the shutdown.
